KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan continue to be an easy target for the public to channel their frustrations with the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) last month.

Over the last month, social media users have utitlized various types of platforms to make fun of several statements relating to GST made by the minister earlier.

Besides throwing scathing remarks towards Ahmad Maslan in social media such as Facebook, some netizens decided to be more creative and go a step further by editing his photos to become humourous caricatures.

The public's appetite for 'Ahmad Maslan bashing has not yet receded. The latest development sees the embattled minister becoming the main character in a videogame.

Based on the observation by Malaysian Digest from a cursory survey in Google Play Store, the videogame is dubbed ‘Maslan 3.85 Extended Version’ in which it displays a distorted photo of Ahmad Maslan, 'zombi-fied'.

The game is listed as produced by VNBOX Trading & Services Sdn Bhd on May 6.

“Disappointed with the GST? Enraged by senseless statements made by our leaders? Don’t worry… express your anger with Maslan 3.85 Corrupted Version.

“Our world is heading for disaster and the economy becoming increasingly gloomy. The implementation of GST has sowed hatred and condemnation against leaders who like to make foolish statements, fostering a growing anger which is now gaining momentum.

“Let loose your pent-up frustration by catching Maslan 3.85,” as described in the game summary statement.

However, the game is still undergoing upgrading works as many gamers have shared that they are still facing problems with it.
